HIV/TB MANAGEMENT UNIT (PROJECT HOPE)
This unit was created in the year 2000 to bring hope to HIV/AIDS patients. It has as mission ‘The Assistance Of Poor, Vulnerable And Marginalised Communities’. This is achieved by designing, implementing and supporting comprehensive interventions geared towards eradicating the causes and effects of common health problems in the community. It doubles as the treatment centre for HIV and TB clients. The PROJECT HOPE has 2 main activities which are;
- To reduce the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in women, children and youths by strengthening capacities for them to cope with the pandemic.
- To promote health and reduce mobility and mortality related to preventable diseases especially malaria and tuberculosis.
The Project Hope is also involved in community activities to help in the attainment of its mission. They also work in collaboration with other NGOs like Medicine For Humanity (MSF).
